Q & A - If elected, what will shape your approach to voting on key issues?
For this, I have a very simple answer based on this guiding principal:
There’s no such thing as other people’s children. -Glennon Doyle
It really all comes down to that. I will protect and defend all of the children in our district. I will vote in their best interests, always - meaning that I will look at every issue from a student’s perspective and figure out what would be best for them first. They are the key stakeholders in everything that we do, so we must take into account how our decisions will ultimately affect them.
This what I do for a living as a social worker and an Early Intervention therapist: I help children. I center them in everything that I do. I show up for them every day. And that’s what I will do as a Trustee on the Board of Education. I am here for the kids, always.
